Nagami, Ningbo
Kumquat is Yilan's winter citrus: the county holds over 85% of Taiwan's planted area. The dominant Nagami type is high in acid and mostly processed, while Ningbo and Changshou types have sweet skin and are eaten whole. Harvest runs from mid-October to mid-March, peaking November to February.
